End of an Era

After 14 years as pastor of Wilmington First United Methodist Church, Reverend Neil Platon will be moving to tend to a new flock, in fact, two flocks. In a letter dated May 8, 2016 and read to the congregation during Sunday service, District Superintendent Kathey M. Wilborn informed the Staff Pastor Parish Relations Committee that California-Pacific Conference Bishop, Minerva G. Carcaño, intends to appoint Pastor Neil to Trinity UMC, which is a majority Filipino church, and Del Rosa UMC which is mostly Caucasian.  Both churches are in the Inland Empire and in the East District.
